Tomorrow’s the big day!
Yesterday, after over 3 years of partnership, we were married in a small courthouse in Iowa. Tomorrow we will be having our ceremony and reception with friends and family here in Wichita. Please contact us if you have any questions or if you will not be able to make it, but have already RSVPd. As a reminder, the links to our registry information and other information about the wedding are at the top of this page. When you arrive, you’ll need to check in with the front desk to be directed up to the wedding. See you tomorrow!
Wedding week!
Four days until we’re legally married in Iowa! And 6 days until our ceremony and reception with friends and family here Wichita!
The Photographers: Everyone!
We’ve partnered with AppilyWed to make everyone a wedding photographer for our big night. You can take photos right inside the app, which will instantly be uploaded to our photo album in chronological order. You can see the photos our other guests are taking, too! This way we’ll be able to see the photos as they are taken, and we’ll also be able to go back later and download the full sized photos all in one convenient place. We’ll have instructions set out on the tables, but why not get a head start? You should take a few photos on your way to the wedding, or maybe send us a wave if you’re not able to attend!
- Download the app on either the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store by searching for “AppilyWed” (no space!)
- Launch the app and enter either last name - Deckard or Miller - and the keyword 32fa33c7 and hit Enter
- Hit the Capture button to take a photo or upload a photo you’ve already taken! You can also hit the Media button to view the photos already posted in the timeline.
That’s it! We also want to say a special thank you to our friends Miah and Doug, who will be taking additional photographs for us. We can’t wait to see everyone’s contributions.

The Entertainment: Karaoke
Yes, we’re having karaoke. No, I couldn’t find a better photo to alert you all to this fact. But prepare yourselves! Our host will be David Branson with Diamond Entertainment.

Whoops
In the midst of wrapping up wedding planning, we actually managed to send out some of our invitations without the wedding date on them. Seriously. If you received one of these invitations and haven’t already heard from us, please send us a message on Facebook and we’ll get it squared away.
(here’s hoping we end up laughing about this at the wedding)
It’s not weird, it’s very sweet! Thank you for the kind note - I’m sure Kansas will grow up one day and be a place we could be proud to call home.
The Venue
Our wedding ceremony and reception will take place in the banquet hall on the third floor of the Museum of World Treasures in Wichita, Kansas. Because we are getting married late on a Sunday afternoon, the museum will be closed to the public and our guests will have total access to the museum and gift shop.
The Florist
We are very happy to have Beards Floral decorating for our wedding and reception. Matt, the owner (of the shop and of a legendary beard), is incredibly talented and we can’t wait to see the banquet hall once he’s done with the place.
